Renault Motability

The Motability Scheme offers disabled people who receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) a brand new car every 3 years.

Motability is a registered charity which provides mobility solutions for disabled people and their families in the UK. It was set up on the initiative of the Government in 1977, to provide vehicles and powered wheelchairs to disabled people.

Vehicles can be adapted and tailored to the driving needs of a disabled person. However, you don’t have to be a driver to qualify for one of the schemes. Non drivers who receive the mobility allowance can obtain a vehicle as a passenger and propose up to two other people as permitted drivers.

The Contract Hire agreement includes all maintenance and servicing, comprehensive insurance and full breakdown cover for the vehicle, provided by the RAC.

To be eligible for the Motability Car Scheme you must be in receipt of either the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance, or the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement. You will need at least 12 months remaining on your allowance at the time of application.
