Engineered from the ground up to provide a solid foundation for your business, Transit Chassis Cab provides an ideal base vehicle that can be converted for a variety of conversions, such as tippers and dropsides, and for a range of uses, from ambulances to motor homes.

Short Wheel Base (SWB)
Agile and tough, the front-wheel drive Chassis Cab short wheelbase (SWB) is the ideal choice for city work. It’s shorter length, narrow width and 11.4 m kerb-to-kerb turning circle is perfect for nipping around winding streets. This compact model is packed with innovative technology, safety features and stowage. Gross payload up to an impressive 1704 kg. The low-level, flat-topped ladder-frame chassis acommodates nominal internal body lengths of up to 2.85 M/9 ft 4 in.

Meduim Wheel Base (MWB)
The Chassis Cab medium wheelbase (MWB) offers high levels of practicality and versatility. The immensely strong ladder-frame gives you the perfect platform on which to build anything from a box van to a mobile workshop. MWB vehicles are available in rear-wheel-drive mode allowing you to further match purpose with performance.
Like all Transits in the range, safety is paramount. Among the standard safety features, drivers benefit from 3-point seat belts, driver’s airbag and ABS with additional electronic sensors that help prevent the rear wheels locking.
High standards of personal safety are mirrored by vehicle security – all Transits come with an approved immobiliser and alarm, remote central double-locking with shielded, strengthened mountings, key-operated bonnet release and a lock-in-latch protection system.
Depending on configuration, gross payload for the MWB is up to 2,727 kg. It accommodates an internal body length of 3.2 m/10 ft 6 in.
350M/350HD M/460M Chassis Cab

Long Wheel Base (LWB)
Designed for all but the very heaviest jobs, long wheelbases (LWB) have to be capable of absolute reliability when the going gets tough.
A tough workhorse doesn’t have to be hard on you. The civilised design common to all Transits is still there – an ergonomically efficient cab layout that reduces fatigue after the hardest day, bags of innovative stowage areas and class-leading driver and vehicle safety features. Down to the smallest detail, the LWB is designed to make your life easier.
Depending on configuration, gross payload for the LWB is up to 2,693 kg. The chassis accommodates body lengths up to 3.6m, depending on cab choice.

Available as either a Double Cab or Single Cab the long wheelbase (LWB EF) Extended Frame models are the option for operators who want to be able to take care of just about anything that comes their way. Body lengths are 3.2 m/10 ft 6 in for the Double Cab and 4.0 m/ 13 ft 1 in for the Single Cab.
